Ingredients for Making Puff Pastry Cake
- Puff pastry dough 450-500 grams
- Condensed milk 380 grams
- Cream at least 33% fat 500 milliliters
- Fresh berries 400 grams

Making puff pastry cake:
Step 1: Cook the puff pastry cakes.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
Puff pastry must be laid out in advance and allowed to thaw at room temperature. When the dough is soft enough, roll it into layers, the thickness of which does not exceed 2 millimeters. Cut the sheets into equal parts. In shape they can be square or rectangular. Trim the jagged edges.
In turn, bake cakes from puff pastry in the oven until golden brown, usually for each layer of dough it takes 7-15 minutes.
Remove the finished cakes from the oven and cool. At will, each of them can be divided along in half. Since we have yeast dough, the cakes will turn out to be lush and voluminous, so if they are not cut, they will be infused worse with cream.
Step 2: Prepare the cream.
While the cakes are cooling down, start cooking the cream. To do this, beat the chilled cream with a mixer until a thick sour cream. Then gradually, without stopping working as a mixer, pour the condensed milk into the cream. Whip it all together. The cream should well "remember" the shape of the whisk, when this happens, stop whipping it, everything is ready.
Step 3: Collect the puff pastry cake.
Put the first puff pastry cake on a plate and spread it well with whipped cream. In the process, determine and correlate the amount of cakes and cream, and how much cream you take per layer. Try to have enough whipped cream to lubricate all the cakes.
On top of the cream, lay washed and peeled fresh berries. Especially large ones, such as strawberries, can be cut into thin slices. Close the layer of berries with a second cake.
Repeat all the layers one by one in the same order until you collect the whole cake. If you still have cream, then coat them with the top cake and the whole cake on the sides.
Now hide all this beauty in the refrigerator and let your cake brew for 4-5 hours, and then serve it to the table.
Step 4: Serve the puff pastry cake.
Puff pastry cake is an airy treat. Serve it as a dessert. Strong black or green tea without sugar, as well as aromatic coffee, are perfect for it. You can treat yourself and your family with such a cake for breakfast, having cooked it in the evening. It is not very nutritious, but it perfectly cheers you up!
