Bean Salad Ingredients

Inventory:

A glass (capacity 250 milliliters), a deep bowl - 2 pieces, a refrigerator, a deep pan with a lid (capacity 3 liters), a stove, a kitchen knife - 2 pieces, a cutting board - 2 pieces, a frying pan, a wooden or silicone kitchen spatula, a tablespoon, plastic wrap, salad bowl or serving plate.

Preparation of lean salad with beans:

Step 1: prepare the beans.


To begin with, we choose beautiful red or brown beans, for some reason it is with such a salad that it turns out very tasty. We sort the beans, removing litter of any kind, throw them into a colander and rinse thoroughly. Then we move it into a deep bowl, fill it with 2-3 glasses of purified water, cover with a lid and let it brew in the refrigerator for 6-8, and preferably 12 hours, that is, from evening to night.

Step 2: cook the beans.


The next day we again send the beans into a colander, rinse, pour into a deep saucepan, pour 3-4 glasses of purified water and put on medium heat. After boiling, cover the dishes with beans with a lid and pour boiling water into the sink. Again, pour this ingredient with clean water in the same proportion, bring it to a boil again and reduce the heat to a moderate level. Cook beans without covering, until fully cooked for 50 minutes or 1 hour, and 10 minutes before finishing add salt. As you can see, the duration of the process depends on the time of infusion, sometimes it may be enough 40 minutes. As soon as the beans are ready, that is, they become soft, but not boiled, we re-move them into a colander and leave them in the sink before use, so that the glass is excess moisture.

Step 3: prepare the onions.


We don’t lose a minute, with a sharp kitchen knife, peel the onion, rinse it, dry it with paper kitchen towels, put it on a cutting board and chop it with medium cubes up to 1 centimeter in size.

Step 4: fry the onions.


Then we put the pan on medium heat and pour 5 tablespoons of vegetable oil into it. After a few minutes, dip the chopped onion into the preheated fat and fry it until tender golden crust, occasionally stirring with a wooden or silicone kitchen spatula. When the vegetable is browned, remove it from the stove and set aside until needed.

Step 5: prepare the nuts.


Now put the walnuts on a clean board and sort them out, removing shell fragments, as well as other debris. After that, chop the kernels with a clean knife into small pieces ranging in size from 5-6 millimeters to 1 centimeter and proceed to the next, almost final step.

Step 6: bring the lean salad with beans to full readiness.


We put the beans that managed to dry in a deep bowl, send onions together with the butter in which they were fried, add chopped nuts, season everything to taste with black ground pepper and add a little salt, not forgetting that it has already been used. Then carefully mix with a tablespoon all the components of the salad to a homogeneous consistency, tighten it with plastic wrap and set in the refrigerator for a couple, and preferably 24 hoursso that the yummy is thoroughly soaked.

Step 7: serve a lean salad with beans.


Lean salad with beans after preparation is infused in the refrigerator, then given the opportunity to warm to room temperature and served on the table in a bowl specially designed for this purpose as a pleasant addition to lunch or dinner. If desired, before serving, this yummy can be decorated with fresh herbs of dill, parsley, cilantro, basil, green onion or figuratively chopped marinades and pickles. Cook with love and enjoy rich home-made food even in fasting!

Recipe Tips:

- this salad can be stored in the refrigerator in a sealed form, about 2-3 days without changing its taste;

- Do not salt the beans at the beginning of cooking, this will make it stiff;

- it is better not to save on onions and nuts, it is desirable that there is a lot of one and the other ingredient in the salad, this gives the dish a very pleasant aroma and buttery flavor;

- if you have heartburn from onions, replace it with leek;

- optionally, in addition to black pepper, you can use any other dried herbs, as well as spices that season vegetable dishes.
