If anyone knows what the recipe is called let me know. I served 20 years ago and I really liked it, I asked how it was prepared. Something like Dumas "After 20 years" !!!

  • 1 kg white onion
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tablespoon peppercorns
  • 150 ml of vinegar
  • salt
  • Minced meat

  • 2 green onions
  • 2 teaspoons chopped wild thyme
  • 3 tablespoons breadcrumbs
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • frying oil
  • 200 ml sour cream
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise

Preparation time: less than 60 minutes

RECIPE PREPARATION Onion salad with meatballs:

Chopped onion - julienne boil it in a liter of water in which you put the bay leaf, vinegar, salt and peppercorns until it becomes glassy. Drain in a sieve preferably non-metallic.

Mix the beef with egg, salt, breadcrumbs, milk, green onions and chopped thyme. With your hand greased with oil, form balls as small as possible and fry them in hot oil. remove the balls on a paper napkin to absorb the excess oil.

After the onion has cooled, mix it with sour cream and mayonnaise.

Add the cold meatballs and refrigerate.

Serve cold.
